World Studies
Overview.
Introduction to World Studies
Students require the knowledge and skills gained from World studies and the
study of history, geography, citizen and the environment in order to function as
informed citizens in a culturally diverse and interdependent world and to
participate and compete in a global economy.
Grade 7 World studies seeks to examine and understand communities, locally and
globally, their various heritages, physical systems, and the nature of citizenship
within them. It involves the examination of individuals and unique events.
Such goals can be fulfilled, through the different ways of assessment methods
and the application of several needed resources like maps, projects,
presentations, surveys and researches.
The following are the main topics which will be covered in Grade 7:

Global issues 1, 2 & 3
Poverty reduction
International response

Product life-cycle
