MATHEMATICS Overview

Section 4: Measurement
In section 4, students estimate & measure length, capacity, and mass using
appropriate metric units. They use multiplication and division to convert units
within the metric system.

Section 5: Geometry
In section 5, students explore specific movements of objects to identify and
describe transformations. Students estimate, measure, determine, and use
formulas as it relates to perimeter, area, and volume to solve problems.
Students are introduced to positive and negative numbers in concrete
situations.
