GRAMMAR
The students identify and write different types of sentences such
as declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory
sentences, subjects and predicates, complete and simple subjects
and predicates, compound subjects and predicates, simple and
compound sentences, prepositional phrases, clauses and phrases;
complex sentences, common and proper nouns, singular and
plural nouns, possessive nouns, pronouns and antecedents,
subject and object pronouns, possessive and reflexive pronouns,
adjectives and articles, comparing with adjectives, main and
helping verbs, action and linking verbs, verbs: past, present, and
future tenses; subject-verb agreement, irregular verbs, adverbs,
and punctuation.
